I think they raise it.25 because they use fake numbers for inflation and unemployment. I think this will cause more banks to fail and more people to lose homes.

If they lower rates , inflation will continue to get worse.

When the fed tries to control inflation by reducing lending and thus domestic economic activity they are really just asking the American people to spend less as the world spends the dollars they been giving away.

Ultimately however they are competing with the rate at which the world choose to give away said dollars they hold and congress choose to borrow dollars to give away.

Its regrettably sending the dollar to war over the Ukraine has led a great many countries to start dumping the dollar as a threat to their own national security. This right after congress has already given away soo many of them is not a good time.

I don't know whatever in their best interest. The only time I see them lower anything is when they want something from, we the people. 🙄So it probably will raise or stay the same.
