Is 2 hours job interview good or bad?

So, I found this very good position and had a meeting with the shareholder of that company at the cafe to discuss the details of the position. He was a 30 yo guy m, We talked for 2 hours, I was already getting bored in the end, but he seemed to enjoy talking, he even mentioned he’s single and he gave me lots of tips of how to succeed with the next steps with the other members of management. For a moment I felt like I was on a date. He was trying to be professional but I think we were too friendly.

Since, I can’t ask 4th question, I’ll update here. I’ll have a trial meeting tomorrow, I’ll have to share my experience to the professionals from other countries. It makes me worried, I wonder what should I wear to look professional but also friendly? This job is very good and it’s important I pass this.

That length of interview is not unusual, depending on the type of job it is. I've been to 4-5 hour interviews before, which can be pretty exhausting.

Bringing up that he is single is kind of odd. Even if you were casually talking it's kind of odd. Not everyone knows how to do interviews though. So people on both sides can be awkward, nervous, inexperienced, etc.

Interviews can be weird sometimes. Sometimes they are weird on purpose to see how you react. Other times the interviewer has no clue what they are doing, and might even hate doing it.

But being friendly itself is not bad. One of the main purposes of an interview is to find out who you are, and how you interact with others. Someone capable of carrying on a conversation may be seen as a big plus.

Then of course he may have been attracted to you. He's only human and I don't think anything he did was THAT bad, just slightly inappropriate.

Personally, network-wise, career-wise.

It could be a potential game-changer for you.

most managers, supervisors, owners etc. are usually super busy and a) couldnt afford to spend two hours interviewing someone and b) can usually determine if the candidate is the right person within the first 10 to 15 minutes max.

A two hour job interview you've probably got the position. How many more rounds do you have to go. Usually a good interview last up to an hour. The gentleman that was interviewing you must have been feeling quite comfortable with you. Good luck on the next step interviews.

This is highly unprofessional as an interviewer to bring in the fact he's single. I think your gut that he was treating this like a date is possibly accurate and I'd documents everything that feels off. I'm not saying he is going to get super inappropriate in order for you to get the job but be careful.

He seemed like someone who has high moral principles and to be honest, if he really liked me I feel like he might not hire me because of that reason. I don’t know. I’d not have to do anything inappropriate, I dob’t allow anyone be that disrespectful to me.

If they have different sectors he could have been checking to see if you'd be a good fit for future advancement in the company.
Bringing up that he's single is kind of awkward. I've never had an interview outside of the business before. It was usually in an office or conference room. A 2 hour interview seems a little excessive though. The longest interview I had was an hour

There is too much variability in interviews between individuals and companies to say if it is good or bad. It sounds like you already have a pretty good guess yourself.

What does passing gates mean?

Qualifying for yet another section and so they ask even more questions to see what else you’d qualify for.
Each section is like a field separated by gates and you pass one gate and then another etc.

And because I was busy, he told me to choose a place for discussion myself and he would drive to there, I told him to come to the coffee shop near my current job, so I would go to discuss the details with him as soon as I would finish my workday.

Sometime interviews requires doing some technical work and show know how of what you can do with an equipment tools or software programs. Those interviews can be double triple the length
