Nooo. I tend to screw them up, especially code challenges even though they are usually something I would find easy without the stress. Or else I say something that afterwards I'm "WTF was I thinking?".
Just 2 weeks ago I had one for a job I really wanted - sounded interesting, flexible hours, paid about 20% more than my previous high salary, fully remote but also within an hour of the office in case I needed to go in for something (and the office was in a very nice city I used to live in and like visiting), full benefits...
I had an initial phone interview and the guy said I had done really well on the automated code test you had to take before talking to a person. It was only about a 15 minute conversation, and I expected to hear back from them regarding the next step; he said there were 8 remaining candidates for the position and a couple more interviews to go before they decided on someone. But the next day I got the standard "Thank you for considering us..." etc email. A few days later I applied for a similar but different position there and got that email immediately.
I have no idea what eliminated me but it appears there is no point in applying for anything else there.
I was certainly turned down far more than I was accepted for, but as they say, a job search goes no, no, no, no, no, ..., no, yes.
The one interview that went really well was the one where I didn't want the job; it was interesting and I was eminently qualified, but I wanted to spend some time between jobs at the time and just went to the interview as a favour to a friend. Of course, I was hired on the spot.
I’m not exactly a ‘kiss-ass’ when it comes to jobs interview. The management doesn’t exactly care what experiences I have. Just as long I’m reliable and get the job done.
I also set limits on my time schedule for the type of work hours I want.
So I go the job interview with the attitude “I need a job. What do you need done? I want these hours.” Boom done. 🤝 . Get a call back in 3 days.
Yeah, for the most part. Over the last 4 or so years I have only gotten to the interview phase and not gotten an offer once. And that was 5 different places I think… only stuck with one of them for 3 weeks because it turned out to be a bullshit job. And one gave me the offer, then ghosted me.

I haven't been on many, but in the past, usually I disliked starting out and the earlier as well 20s how that, soemtimes I didn't appreciate the importance of hobbies, interests. And how I always and still dislike, how it's always 2 interviewing 1 or 3 interviewing 1. I don't like panel interviews. I mean, it seems unfair? Lol 😆🫣 like, there's an imbalance, and the scrutiny. 👀👀👀 Eyes eyes eyes 👀👀😬😬😬
In short, my interviews usually went badly. And it was 90% *always* a 2 to 1 interview, I often felt cringey and cringed 😬😬🫣
Like, where's the person in my corner, or why does the interviewer need a support person/lack confidence themselves ahahaha , 😂
Nope been going to more interviews than contract signings by a fair margin. So if that is the measurements of going well.
Sympathies, yo. It's harder than it looks and some make it look so easy. 😐 It ain't easy, lol. 😆😆😆
In my opinion, but anyways ☺️☺️
I have never not been offered a job after making it to the interview phase, with one complicated exception involving a government agency.
Always been told I interview well. Even if I don't get the job I typically got a thank you email or call
i had to change myself immensely to even get a job. fake it till you make it. it's exhausting. hate interviews. it's why i'm never leaving my current job unless i absolutely get pushed out.
Yes, never had a bad one.
