If you just tried hard enough do you see yourself making that kind of money for yourself?

a couple articles for your consideration:
To reach a million or billion you have to be intentional.
You just won’t get that on a dream.
Some may be the exception, but they’d have to combine that with intentional/mindful saving and spending. They have to seriously filter the flow of money in and out of their pockets or bank.
For the rest it would require being market savvy and doing a bit more than just a dream job.
It would require presence in the financial fields. Even knowing a bit of mathematics 🧮 the same kind that aids in gambling in casinos would prove to be a strong skill in the financial field.
Billionaires and millionaires have streaks of competitive spirit if you break it down. Some it’s just clear to see. Some others will even be willing to financially or via reputation or word of mouth hurt others in order to get closer to those goals or so.
So now that I have laid out the understanding of it, and not even covering the fluid-like state of currency or should I say the black-oil-like state of it, would I PERSONALLY reach a million or a billion in my lifetime?
I know what I would do with it, if I got it by chance.
Do I know and can say my types of dreams will fuel that reality? No 100% no
Will I be competitive about it or intentional to reach that/those mark/s?
It’s hard to say. I do know depending on the route I take, at some point in my years that window of possibility will close, and I will have to accept, or work harder and maybe even lie or step on a few others a bit more. Really twist the arm of the system and those who operate it/in it.
For now though, I don’t wish to compete. I certainly don’t aim to step or twist anything. I don’t even have that much of an attention span or book-knowledge and calculating skills to make those calls and know where that oil is.
I also don’t have any netting to break falls or “hereditary insurance.”
Those higher up in the financial brackets usually can afford the mess ups. Their offspring as well.
Anyone who is subpar and takes those risks, has my respect as well. Nice job to them.
Will I be a millionaire/billionaire? No. If I won a game show or won the lottery, then yeah, ofc lol
If something “luckily” happens, I could be. I wouldn’t blow it as a lot of the winners probably have.
My dad's a millionaire, of course I need to bring improvement by becoming a billionaire. It'll be a shame if I stay as a millionaire myself.
I'm probably close if not already there. Let's do the math. About 10 years working averaging about 20K = $200K, then 10 years averaging about 35K = $350K. So over a half million so far. I am in nursing school and wages start around $75K, so lets say 10 years averaging 80K = $800K. That's over a million right there.
These days I think a person can expect to make an average of $50K/year for 20+ years in their lifetime, without a lot of special effort or even degrees. That is a million right there.
A million dollars is not such an awful lot. Here in Switzerland, 12% of adults have a net wealth of one million US dollars or more, including real estate, but not including pension assets.
By contrast, I am definitely not going to make a billion. That's a world of difference.

Not a billion, but a million can be earned or accumulated these days. Especially if you've owned a property for decades.
Do we need a new word to describe "rich"? ↗
Yes, I believe you can save money to become a Millionaire or Billionaire
but do you think you'll achieve that in your life?
@Still-alive That is something the world will ever know LMFAO
Inflation may make a million dollars not mean much in the lifetimes of people here.
Over my career I've earned over a million, but have 0 chance of getting a billion
Well I’ll definitely make over a million total, thats only 4-5 years income at the upper end of this career.
And with steady investment having a million net worth is doable, especially once you own property
If you count property and include inflation. I am sure it will happen. It's just that a million dollar property isn't that special when it does.
O yeah, for sure. I believe it, hell, i'm working on it. A billion is a long way to go but i already have my ways
I truly believe so yea, because I know I don't have the patience or mentality to work for anyone else besides myself for the rest of my life.
I voted I don't think and it'd be great. It's no big deal to me, I'm a realist 😆
Especially once I gave up the gambling. 😄 Years ago.
I am hopeful so yes. A million I am confident of making but a billion, that is very tough.
I don't believe I will, but it would be great if I did.
it is more the last one, but for me it would need to be worded more like I have already made a couple million dollars in my lifetime.
Who knows. Money is not everything but it could be fun.
A million possibly
Wouldn't want a billion at all
I don't think that and don't care about making that much anyways.
Depending what I do and have the proficiency to influence myself on yeh 😊
I came close to making a million in a year. Before covid I was up to 800k a year.
The average hard working young person should earn at least a million dollars in their working lifetime. Minus taxes, retirement and other benefits!
Billion, probs not but defo billion in a different currency lol. As far as million is concerned I've already made more than than and I've spend over a million in my lifetime too.
Will no, but I can if I actually work towards it. A million, not a billion you crazy :p
Billion, doubtful. A million, I think I've netted over that through my business since I started it.
If you mean per year, with inflation maybe when I'm 50 if I am still working.
@goaded mathematics doesn’t always have extensive definitions. It’s why
[ 2+2 ]two people can agree on, more than politics.
There’s no estimate- if a person reaches a million or billion in their LIFETIME- they’re a millionaire/billionaire. If they spend it or blow it, is entirely their decision.
@goaded and yet again we’re not even talking about impressions or definitions.
The man said he had a million, and if anyone attained a million- by numerical accuracy- they’d be millionaires! Lol
Even if they had gotten robbed of it seconds after reaching that amount- they would have been millionaires for a few seconds then.
Can’t change my mind but you could make strong claims about inflation and the cost of living going higher, but not in the case where someone said they made a million and then deny that or add they must do better or something lol 😂
I won’t even perfect this comment with punctuation finality. I’m just speaking my mind lolz
@goaded right, and that’s a bit irrelevant to say as a statement on someone’s comment of achievement lol or more so in poor context, if not appropriate.
Makes the one saying it seem envious or so.
But maybe that’s just how I interpreted it. If everyone’s fine with the mention. I suppose it’s quite alright.
I suppose in our context and kind of comments to each other, it’s sufficient now. If I had said nothing and just read past it, I’d feel a little off internally/morally speaking and such.
I love your link you posted as well. I’ll look more into it. To this moment I don't know how I’d feel if someone said such a comment in reply to my comment of achievement. If I wasn’t proud of emotional on it, I guess I’d be find to look at it at an outward/general perspective. If I did feel passionate about it, I’d take offense.
The principal comment or seems fine. You seem fine. I’ll move on, but the scenario is still ‘eh’ to me lol
Most said they don’t think it…but still we give so much rights to rich people because we still hope to join them someday.
I would be happy with just a couple thousand to move out.
As in all at once? Nope. Never.
i mean eventually
One can live in hope and die in despair!
Per year? Unlikely. My best year was $360K
I sure as hell want it now
