I wonder if she can get some sort of counseling to prepare her for the workplace? That is good that she really wants to work. I have a good friend whose daughter has schizophrenia and she is also about 28, but has absolutely no clue. She is currently in jail due to her violent outbursts. Very sad.

Obviously certain precautions need to be taken for the safety of everyone (including themself), but it very much is possible.

It depends on if he is taking medication and if themedication works. Also, if he is actually taking the medication as prescribed, and if the job is something suitable to his disorder. Jobs that involve a lot of contact with otehers or a lot of critical thinking and judgment usually do not work out.

Yes, I believe a person with mental illness can be employed and given a chance.
