I’m going for a promotion at my company and people in the office have started smiling at me a lot more and have shown more respect towards me. They aren’t from my company. Do you think my manager would have told them that I’m leaving due to being promoted?

My manager did say that she will have a one on one conversation with me and when she finds my replacement, she will inform my coworkers that I will be working at a different site. I want to know if the promotion will be guaranteed because she said that she will take action to do this over the phone, but I’m not sure if it’s certain and needed some advice on this.
