How come people that don’t work seem to have cars and afford things I can’t even though I’m working?

They sell or are fucking someone who does. Some people live in cheap government housing and use food stamps so a part time job could cover a large car payment still.

Either debt, crime, a decent inheritance or investment portfolio but hell in the UK the state system gives so much out that you'd have to make about 40k to match the life of a 10-15k benefits claiment

In the US, the government rewards people who cannot keep their legs closed. They reward these people because the late great Whitney Houston say "Children are our future." Anyways, these people can literally get thousands of dollars a month in "food stamp" assistance. These people will also qualify for childcare assistance. They get Section 8 housing assistance. The list goes on and on. Yet, I have elderly inlaws who struggle with food insecurity and they only qualify for $23 a month for help to buy groceries. When these people file their income taxes and they can get as much as a $7K refund because they have a crap load of children. Here where I live on the East Coast, blacks have a strong sense of "keeping up with the Jones syndrome." They want other blacks to think they are loaded with money by buying vehicles that they cannot afford. These vehicles are massive land yachts that are expensive to drive. Everyone is living a lie.

They can't either. Debts a lot like prison but no hope of getting free. They'll keep piling on more and more debt to just stay afloat until they'll have to declare bankruptcy.
