Why is having gap in career such a big deal?

Why don’t recruiters consider you if you have gaps in your career…. Just check the knowledge… having gap doesn’t mean the person has become unemployble…

Metrics companies use to hire are all for paperwork. That is why they will higher a 22 year old right out of college with no job or life experience over promoting someone who can work circles around the kid.
