Rumour that AI will slowly begin to take over most jobs by the end of 2024? What do you think?

As someone who works in emerging tech: nah.

There's so many problems. Businesses which have tried using AI blanket replace jobs fail and struggle.

Automation is still a very delicate process and humans still control its implementation.

Most jobs are safe.

Right now, the biggest jobs in danger are the ones that shouldn't ever be replaced by AI: creative tasks.

Wizards of the Coast has been using AI art instead of real art (and it shows for the worse), Hollywood is struggling against striking writers and actors due to their push to see scripts and even actors replaced with AI (which, again, won't work well because human humour is too difficult and contextual to be effectively automated), and even lawyers have been losing licenses when caught using AI (which has been proven to make shit up or outright lie).

There's still danger, but it's not in the realm of science fiction. The fight now lies in making sure governments regulate corporations.

I can't be precise about the timescale, but I think unemployment is going to increase exponentially and that's going to be an issue for governments because the unemployed don't tend to pay taxes.

Nope, there is no talk fo this in most countries, and robots are not even being mass produced to do this.
