I helped friends with paper routes when I was a kid.
But my first job was at my uncle's gas station during the summer when I was 13. It was full service, so I worked the pumps, washed car windows, checked tire pressure and fluids under the hood, and rang people up. I also learned how to change oil and do lube jobs.
The first job I got on my own was at a lunch counter concession inside a grocery store when I was 14 or 15. They served hamburgers, fries, deli salads, and home made cake doughnuts. I rode my bike there after school.
In early high school, I got a job at a place called Pup 'n' Taco that was kind of like Taco Bell. I worked the front and car windows, made tacos, tostadas and burritos.
Soon after that, I got a really good job stocking shelves and working in the warehouse of a large department store. That took me all the way through high school.
All those were part time jobs while I was in school.
Dang, man. You were on your grind early.
My man!

I did a lot of errands in my youth. And my first job, which can be considered a part-time job, I did at the age of 16, working on a yacht.
