If you were a parent who doesn't buy into trans identity and had a child who thinks they are trans, what would you do to help them out of it?

I personally think trans identities form out of trauma and mental health issues. I wouldn't want my child to bury themselves in this, but I don't know how I would approach it. How would you do it?
