Are teachers underpaid in your country?

In my country yes, difficult job with little reward, and now here many teachers are leaving. Many teachers can't maintain a household, and they need a second job.

I am a new teacher, need to teach for a year to get the licence, after the years in university.

They are underpaid

They are paid rightfully

They are overpaid

I think they are underpaid here. Too hard to earn a decent living, on the average, with their wages.

Teachers in Germany (especially high school) are well paid and they get tenure after two or three years. The budget for maintaining the school infrastructure is more of a problem, at least in the poorer states.

They are definitely underpaid in my country... USA.
