She is around 40 years old now and when she was 21 she told me she was allowed to be lazy because she had worked herself to the point where she did not have to work that hard to build her credentials and she had earned the right to take it easy for a few years because of her past difficulties and sacrifices.
I believe she left banking to start a business which seemed like a weird choice at the time but post CoVid and inflation and newly shrinking traditional business markets, she came out on top with the most lucrative business option out of the different careers she could have chose.

Yeah, that’s the motivation for many entrepreneurs — to work very hard so that later, they can relax and have peace of mind.
There are people who are happy working 40 hours a week for 40 years and having a modest retirement. That is fine, as long as they are content with the outcome.
And there some entrepreneurial people who are willing to work extra hard, perhaps 80+ hours a week for several years, so that they can build a business that gives them more free time, a comfortable retirement, and very strong financial security.
I believe that it’s always good to be working on something but there’s no shame in relaxing more after putting in years of grueling work to earn it.
For many entrepreneurs, the time that they gain from building a successful business is not used to be lazy, but instead used to spend more quality time with their family. That is very noble in my opinion.
