Based on the test? No. Questions would have different weight and possibly progression. Only ever done an APM for a friend and 12/36 would not have yielded a good score at all there.

As for the percentile? That helps a lot. In fact it makes it very easy.
Top 15% means roughly 115IQ (and up).
Bottom 15% means roughly 85IQ (and down).

By convention if someone says 15th percentile it would reference the lower 15 percent. So your friend should have more or less claimed to have an IQ of about 85. Better than 15% of the population and worse than 85% of it. Of course if they said top 14% that changes. As a sidenote 14 is a weird measurement as most would separate it by 15. Which hints at them having shared their exact IQ.

It is reasonably fair to assume people are closer to the start of it. It would be odd to say you are in the top 14% if your IQ was 155 (Hi!). While technically an accurate statement, most at a 155-ish IQ would claim to be in the top 99.99 percentile instead.

Hopefully that gave some insight.
Keep in mind an APM test is only one form of intelligence and not particularly indicative of actual ability. While true that people scoring well tend to do better than people scoring poorly, its by no means a rule.

Score is score of course.

Percentile shows how many people would score worse. So in your case out of 100 people there's only going to be one person doing as well or better than you did. Well done.

IQ is just an Intelligence Quotient. So Quotient just means IQ here. They are the same thing. Technically the word tells us what type of math is used to get the answer but its the exact same thing. People in academia likes to use silly confusing words to sound smarter but we don't need to do that since we are actually clever cookies and have fancy test results to prove it when we say something dumb.

As a little sidenote at 135 you would very likely pass a Mensa test. I don't recommend joining, but it can be fun if you want to feel smart.

This is pretty simple. The estimate is whatever IQ is at the 14th percentile. The average IQ is 100. The standard deviation is 15. The 14th percentile is about one standard deviation below the mean, so about 85.

I think 84 is closer to the true value. 85 is one standard deviation from the mean, which is somewhere between the 15th and 16th percentile.

Of course any intelligence test is just one data point -- one test result on one day. For example, I took the GRE and got a perfect score. A few years later I took the LSAT, which is basically the same test, and didn't get enough to eat before the test, then they kept us waiting for over an hour before starting the test and I was starving. I only scored 68/80. I might have retaken it if I had decided to apply to law school. I expected to score in the high 70's.

It's really a matter of how conditioned you are before taking the test. I aced this Raven's APM too, because I was very focused and ate appropriately, also slept 10 hours that day. I don't think this test measures all of one's intelligence though

No, i got no knowledge of that test. But there is a manual on how to interpret and judge the results. Or at least there should be on if its a legit test.
