I thinks the test don't measuring intelligence very well. It asks mostly math questions and math isn't the only intelligence out there. It exists several types of intelligence. Some people has high intelligence in a certain area, but in another it may be lower.
Another factor that may affect my results is that I took a English IQ test and not one in my first language. I didn't get many of the questions and there's many words that I've never heard about before.
Last time I had any accurate testing done, it was 132, back in 8th grade. I haven't really cared much since then, because that's when I started failing out. I wasn't "challenged enough", apparently. Meh.
I was acing tests, but doing none of the homework, book work, or class participation.
Well that was embarrassing.. 😂 I got 37. The grammatical questions were really hard, since English isn't my native language. I don't think I got even one right out of them. It said my IQ is between 132-135.
@tskimberly if thats the score that you got (which is why you said you aren't retarded) then you probably aren't. Day to day activities actually effect your IQ. you should look at the bell curve. If you dont score high, it doesn't mean you are stupid

This is a completely moronic test though, it's full of trick questions which "get" people by them not reading the question clearly enough, or people can do good at it by having pre-existing knowledge. For example there are at least 3 anagram/word questions which can be trained if you play a lot of scrabble or boggle. Then there's a fibonacci sequence question which I just knew the answer to instantly because I recognized the fibonacci sequence, didn't even have to think about it.
So I would say it's a pretty unreliable test, but I do happen to be good at questions like these (probably because I'm a programmer and a lot of programming questions are similar in nature).
Also some of the questions are stupidly easy. "Sam had 8 donuts and gave sally half of them. Sally gave Jason three quarters of her donuts. How many donuts does Sam have left?"
The only way someone can get this wrong is if they are literally don't know subtraction or don't know what "half" means. Thus I think this is a trick question. They added extra information just to throw the reader off. It's stupid.
Also there's not even a spatial reasoning test, come on man this is ghetto af. I always kill it in spacial reasoning so this is super unfair to my score
Oh and I forgot to mention another moronic question, which was "what letter is the 15th letter of the English alphabet?" Like seriously? That question is basically "how fast can you count to 15 on your fingers?" because that's all you have to do...
I got 140 when I was tested. That's near genius iq it said. When I joined the army they give you a thing in the UK called the barb test, I got 158 that was only 3 points off of the best they'd ever had in the armed forces. They were offering to train me up to fly apache helicopters. They wanted me to take a commission to train as an officer but I was a waster in school and didn t have the gcse's to start the training. Ended up in the reme coz I was motors mad at that age. Not bad for a boy from the Glasgow schemes
ok so 1st issue :P! it's all in English xD.. i'm from the netherlands xP.. 2nd is that last i checked my iq was 92 but that was tested at age 11 XD.. 3rd no clue where to find a dutch version :P but i'll go check cuz now im curious myself ^^.
I only got through 24 questions (phone died) and got 1 wrong (answered "dick" for the second anagram)... And still got a 127. That test was stupid easy... Also not how IQ tests work, but who's counting? 😅
Don't think IQ is a good way to measure intelligence. Like I once saw that this little girl probably around 12 13 had a IQ higher than someone like Stephen hawking and Einstein. Compared to them she's nowhere near their intellect.
Why the Fuck do people believe IQ is important? You can't fucking compare them because IQ doesn't show how intelligent someone is. Yet I have seen articles comparing children's IQ to well known physicist. "You don't even know in real life"... No fucking shit I don't but you can still read about them and learn about their life and accomplishments then compare one of them to another off anything relevant that's credible about the two.
I got 129 and had about 15 minutes to spare. Some seemed very easy whereas others seemed really impossible... I think being good at maths helps and everyone can get better at maths but supposedly can't increase their IQ sooooo

I did good in it cus of the maths questions I got 135, IQ tests are ment to have like 5 sections or something to test your knowledge taking up to an hour and a half or something
Honestly I don't want to know, People tend to think you're not very smart if your a slow learning and have a hard time with with certain subjects such as math.
That is one bad test. I scored 127 despite losing some points on the word-challenges (not a native English speaker). From a psych eval a few years ago, I know that my actual IQ is 112...
So if you took all these people's results and made a graphic, it wouldn't be beautiful distribution bell curve like it's supposed to be. So either the ones with low score didn't post (kudos to those who did), most people are liars (specially those who complain about "only" getting a 120something result) or this test is BS.

Haha, 135 and I know I made at least 3 mistakes because of not trying to focus. This can't be accurate at all. Last time I took a serious test I got 118.
I just added my opinion from the feed earlier so I never saw your link but I did take one that according to the introduction was a measure of intelligence.
IQ tests have varied functions so some could be to tell what occupation is best suitable for an individual, one could be to test your memory so on. I'd get a very low score for short term memory because mine is bad.
As others have already said, online tests are bullshit. The last time I took one I answered almost all questions correct and it still gave a below average IQ.
@TheFlak38 It was online. I don't remember the website. A person on one of those news talk shows mentioned it, that is how i found out about it at the time. It was mostly English comprehension, grammar, understanding the theme of a short story, character motivations, and stuff like that. There was math. It had the variables, exponents, ratio, graphing, slope, word problems, etc. There was a little bit of other stuff, but most of it was based on English and Math. Each section had a limited time to complete once you started.
There is 5 gamer mistakes in that sentence and even though I am freakishly good at math and most sciences I don't think that makes me one of the thousand smartest people to ever live
