School isn't just for having an education, it's designed to separate the kid from his family on daytime. To make it learn to interact with its peers, having a social life outside of its family home

Home school is just making a kid sit in a house, and memorise certain things to pass a test with no interaction with someone else

That's up to the parents. Home schooling is fine if it's not done to isolate children from the world. I've known some parents doing a great job home schooling, providing experiences that their child could never have in public school. Also there are children that don't get much from public school. I was one -- I was doing algebra when I was 7 -- there wasn't a lot for me in a public elementary school.

After working in schools for 13 1/2 years, I would advise parents to homeschool their kids until they are high school age due to the bad things being taught to kids at an age when they are too young to know better.

Pretty sure kids still see other kids when being homeschooled. To my understanding, they are typically instructed in groups. It's meant to be more flexible than regular school. Which probably means the best plans are REALLY good and the worst are really bad. So the key (as with most things) is doing it right.

home school plus some general school is ideal. school is overrated. but most parents don't want to deal with their kids, so school is required.

Home schooling is not allowed in my country. Parents can choose from public schools, private schools, parochial schools and some alternative schools.
