Worst career advice?

Let's start a list of horrible career and post-high school education advice.

*Do what you love.*

That's a tall order especially for someone with A. D. D. How does one find a job that doesn't suck on Monday's or any time that ends with 'day'? *rhetorical*.

Go to a 4-year university or college.

Public education has failed in the U. S (I can'tspeak for elsewhere), going to straight to a four-year university afterwards just makes that failure more apparent. Best advice: Go to a community college and complete your general education requirements. This decision willsave you money and help you find a career. Alternatively research some blue collar jobs like welding, plumbing, electricity, in such capacities you could make upwards of $100k.

Customer service jobs are not a career.

You would be surprised to find where or what you have a knack for and more. A manager of a Wal-Mart, gas station or fast food store may not appeal to many, but for some they have a real talent for it and whats more they enjoy it over academics. There is nothing wrong with making a career out of a percieved "low-end" job. If you can reasonably sustain yourself, do it.
