You should be able to learn the basics, enough to somewhat understand and be understood if you keep things simple. It will take a long time though.
But language has a heck of a lot of nuances and subtleties that would be very difficult to learn without the help of native speakers.
There are a lot of online sources and apps you can try. My library has a lot of CDs and DVDs, plus online resources. I think some of the online resources have you repeat the phrases out loud, and it corrects your pronunciation.
If all you want is to memorize some basic phrases, go to YouTube. If you really want to learn the language, you need a lot of dedication and preferably a good native teacher. Not someone who is a native speaker, but someone who actually knows how to teach it. Speaking it and teaching it are two very different things.

Well I am sure you can do this , you need material for this. You need to be committed to this , it is much easier if you are looking at concord in grammar as you cannot use words as you please when speaking to people that can speak the language fluently. You can learn on your own but maybe you should consider teaching someone what you are learning or finding someone to learn with you.
If all you want to do is learn phrases parrot fashion then yes. But to learn it properly you need guidance from a native speaker.
One of the problems is sentences don't always translate neatly and can be confusing and sound nonsensical.

It is best to have a teacher so you can be coached on the best pronunciation, etc.
Immersion is the best way to do it. It's worked for lots of people.
