Like with technology and career paths, it’s like all the big companies are starting to go into primarily software and it’s like everything is becoming “big tech” and even technical jobs I feel are starting to feel the effect of it. As systems get more sophisticated, you may not even need as many programmers or people to maintain machines. Not to mention, the machines replaced a bunch of living, breathing, working human beings in the first place.
Don’t have a bachelors degree minimum? You’re essentially getting written out of society with a wage that no longer keeps up with the cost to live. Now it’s almost as if masters degrees are necessary to be competitive. There are jobs out there, but they’re becoming harder and harder to find I feel.
What’s the solution to this? It’s like we’re trending towards this society where the highly educated eat like kings and are taken care of by these big corporations, and the rest are doomed to like this borderline mad max society. A privileged class is being created before our very eyes.
I just feel like we’ve lost the plot, somewhere down the line.

It's laughable cause it's what happened in Japan and we are obsessed with needing a paper for work.
One gotten by schooling that won't teach you any of the job skills just how to take tests!
Now I can go to car work on fast food and transfer getting like 20 an hour back home in a year and be so well off!
It's how technology changes things and the big companies only care about new things and people.
Never mind the older people who built and know how the company works.
They want new blood that has no idea how to be a leader or run a company. Usually they get run into the ground pretty fast when changing management!
Lego was so lucky to get things turned around!
life has always more opportunities we would only find if we put efforts n degrees ain't limiting one's life or career
u could be successful n make lot of money without the BAC degree u mentioned if u r dedicated enough n know ur way around
You’re right on the money, i’m really starting to consider forging my own path at this point. It’s almost like you feel there’s no other choice. It’s like you’re getting priced out of life, or you go back and live with family and continue to ride out these subpar jobs for as long as they’re worth.

Check this out. The theory is that large portions of the job market are just non essential jobs that exist only to fuel the economic engine, and to give someone with money people to boss around.
