Only male employee?

I've been at a new job for several months now, and so far I've been literally the only male employee there. All my coworkers are women, all the management is women, and even most of the clients we have are women. Its not bad—there haven't been any problems or anything. I guess I'm just not really used to it, and it feels odd.

Wondering if anyone who has worked in a similar situation has any advice or just notes from experience? I keep hoping they'll hire another man just so I'm not the only one, but the several people hired since me have all been women too...

In high school I worked at a McDonald's that were mostly girls/women. I would often be the only male on the shift. For the most part it didn't bother me, but the gossiping would get annoying and most of them getting easily stressed out during a rush would get annoying. They would also talk about how terrible men are, especially when a male customer pissed them off (they would say it jokingly. I guess that's just girl talk) and I never really knew how to respond to it lol I would just focus on working.

For the most part it was fine. They were never rude to me or anything, and some of them were actually pretty cool.

Yes be careful about what you say. Stay out of taking sides, a lot of times these women have groups. This group doesn’t like that group. You may be asked to do a lot of things if it’s physically demanding as the only dude there. Don’t date in your company. I work in a female dominated field, nursing.

I worked in a place where the only guys were me and the facilities guy. It was a medical services company with nurses and therapists. We were the only two guys there. It was actually a pretty nice place to work but the pay was not great.

On the contrary where I worked there were on average 1 female worker for every 10 male workers. What can I say? IT jobs do not attract many women.

Yeah, I had this situation twice. It was okay, just a lot of female cattiness, I guess.
