and then my one coworker who doesn’t like me and is a suck up told the supervisor that he’s losing weight. And I was wondering if she was trying to compete with me by talking to him and trying to one up me?

A little insight on my coworker not liking me. She doesn’t like me because I’ve stood up to her before and also she’s jealous of me because our supervisor talks with me and I don’t have to suck up or try hard to talk with her or have her attention.

It does sound like your coworker may be trying to compete with or even one-up you by bringing up the supervisor's weight loss to him. A few reasons I could see why:

- She knows you have a good rapport with the supervisor and aren't afraid to speak up when needed. She may feel threatened by that.

- By making a comment about his appearance/weight directly to him, she's inserting herself into the conversation in a way to get his attention and recognition.

- It could be a passive-aggressive dig at you, like she's trying to show she can schmooze with him too without being called out like you've done to her before.

- Jealousy and insecurity are definitely motivating factors since she resents the easy relationship you have with the supervisor that she has to work harder for.

The unsolicited comment about his body was a little forward too. She may have been trying to overcompensate and appear friendlier than necessary.

I'd say your suspicions of her using it as a way to compete or one-up you are valid. Just keep doing your thing - she'll likely always feel threatened as long as you stay confident and don't stoop to her level of behavior!

She is obviously just trying to one up you. Trying to impress the boss more than you. Seems pretty obvious to me. If she's a suck up she'll do anything she thinks will get her ahead if she likes you or not. Her not liking you probably just makes you a bigger target for her but she probably do it to anyone.
