Coworker wants me to cook dinner for him?

Coworker and I have been flirting for about 2 years, today he teased me something fierce. I just moved to a new house and he asked me when I was going to invite him over for dinner. I really like him and would like to be with him but I don't think him coming to my house without going out anywhere else is a good way to start? He reiterated the self invitation and said to let him know and hell bring a dish over.

Does anyone think this is as innocent as it sounds or should I keep my guard up? Or perhaps I could ask him if he would go out to dinner to celebrate instead?

Im sure that would be great for you pair ...you know him for two years and you like him so having dinner in your own home without the pressure and formality of a resturaunt would be nice

Its not like you have to end up in bed with him, but will give you the oppertunity to be comfortable with him out of work

I say don't worry about giving a bad impression because he's not going to get one :)

Going out to dinner might be good whe you're just getting to know him, especially with a workmate where things could get complicated. What happens if you start something and it doesn't work out? Or even if it does work out--this can be a problem in most work situations.

Tell him you've still got some unpacking to do so how about going out the first time and you'll cook dinner next time. I think he meant it innocently, but innocent intentions can turn into dirtier intentions quickly. First dates at someone's house alone is a bad idea if you're not trying to have sex that fast.
