Should I move on from that job?

I applied for a position and I was interviewed and the closing date for that position in company site is February 5 2024 and I still haven't heard from them should I move on? I always thought they might called someone else now for that position

Here's what I think - if you applied over a month ago and still haven't heard anything, I'd probably start looking elsewhere. A month is a pretty long time for them not to contact you if they were interested.

Some possible reasons for the delay:

- They may have found a candidate they liked better and hired them already, but didn't bother to follow up with all applicants. Rude, but it happens.

- Something came up internally that delayed their hiring timeline, but still no word after a month isn't great.

- The position got put on hold or budget cut and they haven't updated the listing.

I'd give it maybe another week at most and then focus your energy on other opportunities. Chances are you didn't get it if they're leaving you hanging this long with no update. Super annoying when companies do that! But better to put your efforts toward jobs that seem like a better fit and are actually moving forward. Something else will come up, don't sweat it too much.
