Should you be loyal to your employer?

NO! A person should ONLY be loyal to thier paycheck.

You may have friendships where you work. You might even be on friendly terms with your boss. And if you want to help him out that's up to you. But don't get it twisted. This is BUSINESS! You're a number, a resource to that company. They would cut you loose in a heartbeat if it served the purpose of the company. And You're not a valued associate. I don't care how long you've worked thier. In actuality the longer you work at a firm the more replaceable you are to it in the modern age. This is why much like houses. People replace thier occupation once every 7 years. on the avg. Because it is much cheaper to pay someone entry level pay. Companies seldom look years. down the road. Everything is geared towards each qtr. and each fiscal year. Because everyone answers to a boss. And at the top they answer to thier shareholders.

This is true. I was a trainee on a supermarket and they let me go as a trainee within 5 days.

Yeah the boss gave me my allowance paycheck like only $26 (Philippines) $6 per day so 5 days I got only $26 lol barely a salary but its okay. I just felt stupid because he said its my last day today and they have more cashier lined up. ( of course I got it like why would they train me if they have more cashier that is gonna work for them? I only know no one applied as a cashier yet and there's only 1 post vacant so I got what he said. And the old cashiers/workers are gossiping looking at me yesterday.

$30* correction. But the time we work there is 14 hours we start at 5:30 am to 7:30-8 pm. And only $10 they dont pay the overtime of workers but in labor code they should have buy they give us free breakfast and free lunch as compensation.

I also heard one time the dole (department of labor and employment) once visited the store but the manager instructed her employees that their time of working hours is only 8 hours like they start at 8 am to 5pm. Plus they kinda fake the salary too she intstructed them the rate" like say your salary is more than $10 which is funny cuz they know they were violating the labor code.

But then again no one reports them cuz no one knows the insider of that. They only know it
