Unethical thing to do.
Yes but not in ways I'd consider unethical and not in a way they ever lost things of value. Like you always accidentally bring a pen home at least once, or you end up leaving the company and it turns out you still have something that used to be theirs that they wouldn't want back.
But the more substantial one is software solutions I built for them, they didn't pay me at the time, and I wasn't under a formal contract due to irrelevant circumstances. Not unethical on their side, but necessary compromise type deal we did in a good mutual agreement (They gave me a gift for it instead). So basically I was building some really cool stuff for them for free. I kept my own copies of that work to use in the future myself. Its not the version they had, but I copied stuff back and forth between the version I simultaneously built for myself.
Technically stealing since I wrote the stuff in company time, but considering it was unpaid labor and I wasn't under contract where I could not do that I also don't consider it unethical. They got their value out of it and if it helps me in the future do something in 10 minutes that took me weeks to make for them that just makes me more valuable as an engineer.

Not stolen, but hidden things.
Whenever a job has done me dirty, I find a few things that are vital to running the business and hide them in weird spots before I quit lol

Just some pens and candy bars. I've been trusted with thousands of dollars of cash many times at different jobs and never took a cent.

Yes, but nothing big. I used the company credit card to fill up my wife's car with gas.
If I have it pales in comparison to what they've stolen from me.
Its not stealing if it was already my stuff to begin. 🤔
I frequently Bogart pens and white plastic b*gs from my assisted living centre.
We know that 88%+ of people who have worked in retail have stolen something at some time.
Sometimes. And I’m still considered the favorite even from those in management.
