The picture shows a pickpocket stealing a woman's wallet, which is just one type of theft.
Have you ever had anything stolen? What did you do?

1. Yeah, I was in Brazil. Sitting at the beach reading my guide book with my backpack behind me (yeah…dumb tourist).
At the part it says look out for pick pocket.
a teenager ran behind me, grabbed my backpack and ran off. I chased after him and yelled out drop my bag…he did… and ran off.
I am glad I got my stuff back. I had my passport in there and other important stuff.
I got lucky.
2. I was sitting in a restaurant, my bag hung on a chair. Someone from behind me, took my wallet. I’m not sure if I got it back. It was a long time ago.
3. I was studying in my university library, My backpack was not closed up and I left to use the bathroom. Someone took my wallet. Few weeks later…someone sent it back to my home. A few important things and $20. Whoever spend the money sending my wallet back was very nice…
4. someone stole my car during the time of my divorce.
my ex gave me the car because I needed for work. He takes the train.
I moved back to my family. Car parked outside…there are a few auto mechanic shops a few blocks away…never thought much about them.
one morning, my SUVs back window was broken … the little triangle window behind the passenger window. I had to get it fix…a few days later… I came out… my car was gone.
I guess the first time they didn’t succeed…the second time they just tow my car. Oh well.
that’s all I remember … there might be another time or two…
but mostly, I have been lucky with my life.
Twice and it happened in the same parking lot like i should really stop shopping there lol. 1st time a guy just came up to my basket while I was busy strapping in my son his carseat and took some of my groceries and ran off. 2nd time someone took my license plates from my new car
I had a girlfriend file a false police report and get a temporary injunction against me. That means I couldn’t return to my own home. It took me about 45 days to get the injunction thrown out. When I returned home, she had moved out the entire contents of the home except for my two cats and the litter pan she has not changed in several weeks.
Just couple of weeks ago. Accidentally hit the unlock button on my vehicle before going to bed, woke up the next morning to all my bank cards stolen. Spent the morning cancelling them and getting new one's sent to me. Lots of fun!😒 But, it was my own dumbass fault.

I got robbed at gun point at the bus stop in 2017(me and two other women) they got my purse that had nothing in it but a pack of cigs and a phone charger, and they ripped my keys out of my hand cuz they had a money pouch attached (no money in it (I actually had $400 cash stuffed in my bra they didn’t find even tho they half ass patted us down and they didn’t get my cell phone. They took off running when they saw the bus coming down the street… I was able to call 911 right away as did the bus driver so they got caught 20 min later and I got my keys and even my cigs back… what the did get was my sense of safety
No only when I was in school, this one kid who lived on my street used to steal from us on the regular so I beat him up a few times and even had his dad yell at me cuz I went in their back yard and took my brothers soccer ball back. I didn't care or listen to them they were idiots. And just a pen it was cool and had a strobe light on it I had in high school it was stolen by a friend, then I ditched her. I should of just gave it to the hot guy who wanted it off me lol. Besides that no I keep my shit on lock down.
Twice my wallet.. i didn't see anything
One time was during vacation, in a market. The hotel said to us there were some thief at the market. I was cautious but i did release my attention few minutes in a store. And thats it, my wallet was gone.. i had 50 dollars in here, and i lost all my papers...
The other one was after a bar, when going home alone in the metro. I was a bit drunk, tired and i dont realy paid attention to my surrounding. And there was people. I was lying on the bar, on the middle, standing. And at a time, someone bupped into me and he get my attention because he was so obvious and it made me angry because he could have dodge me... so after that i get off, i go to my next metro, and here, i found my bag totally open and my wallet was missing... i directly opposed my credit card but they manage to pay 40 dollar with it. Luckyly i didn't have any money in my wallet except my card.
As I visited Barcelona. Someone cut a hole in my bag and stole my purse, fortunately there was just 50 Euro inside but my ID, Driver License and Car documents got lost. Spanish police isn't especially cooperative if you don't speak Spanish and we waited several hours for police report.
Crowd of Chineses is a good opportunity for gypsies to approach tourists unnoticed. There are thousands of cameras and nobody saw anything at police station. I'm sure they work with those gypsies together, because if you threat them if come to close boyfriend on your side will beat the shit out of them, there is police in less than a minute around you.
Wow!! This happened in the train station?
We were in Barcelona last year, we did notice a lot of “Chinese” not sure if they are. Running businesses.
What do you mean by Chinese gypsies?
We didn’t take the train…but surely some areas are more crowed.
yes roto rooter stole 1,000s of cds... they said they were damaged but only 1 part of the room had damage and they also lied about putting things in storage as they don't put things in storage even though they sent e-mails saying they were... but they took everything and other things as well that weren't damaged... i had insurance but they were like where' the pictures because they did pay for the things that were damaged... so i lost maybe 25,000$ on items stolen... don't ever use roto rooter.
I had two phones stolen in my 20s and a bike in my teens. The bike was stolen because I fainted while crossing a bridge and I was sent in an ambulance to the hospital and two witnesses promised to bring our bike to the police station so we could leave it in their hands while I was being driven for medical treatment, but they sold it after stealing it.
Only once. On Trafalgar Square in London, I was pickpocketed without feeling anything as I crossed the street to take the bus back. Luckily all my cash was at the hotel, and the travelers checks were replaceable.
Yeah I had a moped stolen when I was in Jr. High. And I had my CD player stolen out of my car. But that one didn't bother me that much as I was due for a new one anyhow. As Daniel Tosh says "getting your car stereo stolen is God's way of telling you it's time to upgrade.😆
Yes. When I was a senior in high school, someone stole my phone and lunch money. It was during PE so someone had to have been watching me put in my locker combination. I didn’t dare tell anyone the combination. Thankfully, nothing since then.
I have had some guy steal an entire jar of money from me and ran off with it to see his sick mom 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Earlier that day, someone actually called the cops, because they were worried about me being alone at the house with that guy and I should have just told the cops to take him lol!
My cousin, had these people staying at our housing and these low beats stolen information off of my debit card, and they have stolen things that were never nailed down.
Yeaah. Mofos stole my money when i was taking selfies and cleaned out my wallet. But I had money stashed away so now big deal.
Somebody stole the tape deck out of my car. It was my fault. I was too lazy to take it off the slide mount and hide it and I did not lock the doors. I never made that mistake again.
My handbag on my honeymoon. I had to get my mother to send my British passport so I could get on the airplane going home.
Yep.
I had a really nice truck stolen back in 1998.
I still miss that truck.
Yes,
Speakers from my car one time.
Money, from my dad's checking account.
I've had my vehicles broken into and stuff stolen out of them a few times. I had 1 guy try to pickpocket me, it didn't end well for him.
I left a shovel outside one time and that got stolen.
Yes, some scum bag stole my Specialized Mountain Bike a few years ago.
