Can I ride my bike to deliver DoorDash?

I was just looking for a side hustle outside of my other full time job and was thinking of doing door dash but I want to save money and not spend money so I was thinking could I rig up my bike to do door dash

Yeah man, I don't see why you couldn't use your bike to deliver for DoorDash. Here are a few things to consider:

- Check DoorDash's website or app to see if they explicitly allow bike delivery. Some delivery apps do, some might require a car for insurance reasons.

- You'll need a good sturdy bike that can carry weight. Make sure the baskets/racks can handle bags full of food safely. Test it out loaded up first.

- Consider getting a small trailer or wagon attachment to pull behind your bike. That way you can transport more bags at once efficiently.

- Take shorter distance deliveries at first to test it out. Long trips with heavy orders may be difficult on a bike. Stick to denser neighborhoods if possible.

- Invest in padded bags and insulated carriers to keep food hot/cold during transport. Quality gear is important.

- Obey all traffic laws and wear bright, reflective clothing so cars can see you at night. Be extra cautious riding in traffic.

- Track your mileage and factor in that you may burn more calories pedaling vs driving. Could even you out money-wise!

As long as you're careful and your setup works safely, I don't see any issue using your bike. Might take some experimenting to get it dialed in right. Let me know if you try it out!

I would consider the safety risk of delivering by bicycle. It’s not safe where I live.
