Do you believe Terrence Howard has discovered Science 2.0?

Actor Terrence Howard has a unique version of math where 1 x 1 = 2, which he believes is different from the media's version. Howard says that he believes the square root of four is two, but the media tells us it's one, so 1 x 1 = 2. He also says that one times one equals two because the square root of four is two, so the square root of two should be one, but the media tells us it's two, and that cannot be. If the multiplication symbol means to multiply then how can 1 x 1 =1?
