they homeschooled me and kept me from growing up when I was most able to grow up, I'm basically a retard

The nature VS nurture question has been around for a while because there is no clear answer. You probably weren't presented with the best options, however it sounds like of the options you did get you might have chosen those that maximized entertainment over those that would have resulted in doing work. Work is the only way to give a fuck and the most reliable way get fucks in return. It isn't the work itself so much as the experience and recognition from being one others can rely on to get that particular type of work done. The issue is to find work you don't mind doing and is something others need. The work available that meets both criteria is in constant flux, but changes are usually slow enough that you can plan ahead for, say, a college degree.

However, learning to do that work is also work that no one is going to appreciate other than maybe your instructor. That's kind of why college campuses try to stay positive - so people don't get discouraged en mass from continuing to work at becoming useful at a higher level. Unfortunately that strategic positivity triggers a lot of the more conservative minded people and they end up hating college campuses as liberal elitists or whatever. But spending just a few weeks going to classes will quickly reveal none of these people are thinking highly of themselves except, ironically, the conservative students. Just take it one lesson at a time and you'll fit right in.

The work I was forced to do was something I didn't choose to do and it was very hard. during school I would sit out in the hot sun and work in the big yard. big messed up. messy yard cutting grass, carrying wood around to burn from trees etc. My entertainment was restricted too. I had very little fun and I had very little opportunity to do anything that I wanted. anything that I desired
