Why is my new job talking forever to send me stuff that has to be completed?

I got a job on Tuesday they said they will send me a email with stuff that i have to complete in 24 hours.

i still have got no email i called yesterday was told the hr woman was off.

i dont want to call again & look weird.

You’re just starting out. It takes a little time. You’re not bugging them. They need to finish your hire paperwork. CC the person who is your direct supervisor when you contact HR. That’ll put the fire under the HR person’s butt a little so you can get past this phase. 😉
