Where will all the Hooters girls go to work now?

Hooters shut down 40 locations without warning to staff.

I never really cared for Hooters, the "family friendly" titty bar and restaurant.

I have tried the food a couple of times and was not impressed: standard bar food at higher prices (it's the "atmosphere," you know.)

And most of the waitresses depended on their looks for tips, because their service was lacking.

That said, where will these poor little princesses go for work now? Any ideas?

They can literally go to any other restaurant and make the same amount. Blessing in disguise for those women that there’s no longer a company that convinces them they will make more as a server with no clothes on. There’s servers with clothes on taking home the exact amount of money, if not more guarantee you.

If they work hard enough.
Growing up in the 60s, my mom was a waitress in a prominent restaurant chain across the street from Radio City Music Hall in NYC, and she taught her children how waitresses are supposed to work: Fast, friendly and efficient.
You have to hustle, and each time I went to a Hooters nobody seemed to want to put much effort into it.
And when I order a meal, I expect it withing a certain time, depending on how busy they are.
Each time they were maybe 35% customers, so definitely not slammed.
Nobody seems to want to hustle anymore. And they expect good tips when they drag their feet.
Mom taught us about tipping, too. For good and for bad service.

@macdaddyrico I’m currently a waitress and easily make $40-$60 an hour depending on the day. It doesn’t depend on working hard, it depends on where you go

What I'm saying is that Hooters girls don't seem to have the right attitude to waitress.

@MacDaddyRico there’s no one personality only for waitressing. I’m pretty introverted and quiet, but still waitress and my customers love me. It really just depends on where you go. I’ve been Tik tok videos on hooters salary and it’s really just what an average server makes.

Funny story. My girlfriend and I were on the beach at Fort Lauderdale. Across the street was a Hooters. She was hungry and offered to buy me lunch at Hooters. I didn't want to go. Heavy makeup and nylons don't compare to the candy on the beach. I finally caved and said I would go if we can grab a booth overlooking the candy store.

Yes, they are franchises owned by different people.
But the prices are too high regardless.
