I am a first-year computer engineering student and I am so fed up with life. I don't want to study, I don't want to focus on anything, and even writing these sentences feels difficult. I wasn't like this before, but now I have no hope or motivation left. I can't understand anything. I don't want to study for at least four years and then work eight hours a day in my professional life. Did we come to this life just to work?

Here’s the deal: your survival hinges on how much money you have. The three things humans need to survive are food, water, and shelter. Shelter costs money, usually rent. Water costs money, you have to pay to hook up tap water or even your own well water to your house bc you’re not a plumber and you didn’t build the house or know how. Food also costs money, whether that’s grocery shopping or buying seeds for a garden and hunting tools to live on your own. The easiest way to make money is to have a job, it doesn’t have to be a computer engineer gig, it can be anything as long as you can afford the costs of how you want to live your life. The job is not forever. Just because there are boomers who don’t know how to have a hobby keep working until their 80’s doesn’t mean you have to do the same. I work two part-time jobs myself, it amounts to about $1400 a month which covers my $500 rent and other necessities, I don’t work more than 30 hours a week typically. You don’t have to work full time but that heavily depends on how you want to live your life as an adult. I’m impoverished, legally speaking. I’m also very happy with the time I have and the life I live. You don’t live to work, you work to live. You don’t have to follow specific rules to live a life outside of those basics. If you feel lost, take a year off, get a job somewhere and save up some money like at a gas station or something. It’ll give you time to think about what you want.

Sometimes I think the same way, but you need money to not be homeless unless your parents make enough money so you don’t have to worry. You need to find a balance between work and your personal life. Perhaps it seems dull because you haven’t met anyone interesting. Personally, the thought of seeing attractive guys at work keeps me going lol. Oh the things I do to them in my mind throughout the day- anyway, you just need a reason to … live at this point.

In Some Countries, People Can't Find a Job Even Though They Study at University for 4 Years, They Have to Work in Markets, So If You Care for Those Who Are Worse Than You, and If You Don't Stay Stuck at the Same Level in Your Profession and Constantly Improve Yourself, Your Profession and Life Will Be an Indispensable Source of Entertainment for You.
