What was the best job you ever had?

Not sure... I kind of love/hate all of them in different ways, but serving in the Army stands out as the most unique, and had the biggest extremes. The federal government broadly shares a lot of those negatives with very few positives.

I like retail management up until having to deal with the corporate overlords, particularly ones who sit in an office miles away and have no clue or experience with what they're trying to remotely dictate. The senior management and executives who actually made the rounds and got to know people are great, even when we had disagreements.

Other than short term gigs that were really rewarding, but not sustainable financially, I'd have to say my current job as a Lighting/Scenic Designer for corporate events, galas, banquets, and concerts. No two days are the same, I get to use my creativity, and I get to work with a cool team of people.

The parts of it I don't necessarily like are trying to match designs to clients budgets, trying to scale back designs that due to clients budgets, and the sheer amount of workload during our busy periods.

Ooof. That is a tough one. Corporate America is a toxic place.

My best gig was probably when I managed a pool at a summer program at a local elementary school the summer after my junior year of college.

I really enjoyed working with those kids and the summer program fed me lunch every day.

I had a job to raise my little sister for 10 years. That let me to my career as an elementary school teacher … I am about to retire from it. I love what I do…it makes me feel like I don’t work a day because the life/energy these kids bring.
I worked other jobs like retail, language instructor, office clerk as well as babysitter when I was a teen… they all made me who I am.
I am still parenting (raising) my two teens…
all in all…great jobs.

Besides being a mother, because I don't see being a mother as a job, it would have to be when I was the Biotechnology Labs administrative assistant for the whole laboratory.
That was when biotechnology first started.

My current one as it is on my career path plan where before I just worked for work. (I'm a receptionist at mo and love the social aspect as well as paperwork, filing, organising, soreadsheets).

I liked selling pop corn and ice cream at a store as part of a part time job. It was easy and relaxing and I got to socialize with super nice people. I've had jobs that paid more but they were less interesting and fun.

My current job, afternoon preschool teacher assistant. I love what I do very much so and adore working with kids. I'm hoping to bump it up into being full time job especially where I am at now. I definitely wanna stay where I am because let me tell you, it's truly wonderful there. It's also the place that got me into teaching in there very beginning ❤

Well all the jobs I had sucked due to rude people. I guess it’d be working at a retirement home as a nurse. I had really bonded with the seniors there and some coworkers made me want to wake up and go to work next day despite drama.

That would probably be, a Quality Assurance Technician at a portable computer company that manufactured and repaired computers and related accessories
