What is the best part about your job?

For me it's seeing the children progress. This weekend was quite exhausting mostly due to a new kid who will require a lot of work and at a time there if felt quite hopeless and defeated. This used to be my easy peasy weekend.

But then I look how far the other kids have gone, through hard work, patience and care, which makes me feel less defeated. We're actually making a difference, not only for the families (this too became clear with me when the new fella got picked up and the family expressed this) but also for the children as well. They deserve being invested in. I'm so proud of them. 😅

I have two jobs. The best thing about both of them is that I work by myself and unsupervised. The bosses just let me do my work and don't give me a hard time.

We're mostly unsupervised as well, since we're attached to a institution that requires a lot of attention and the top doesn't work evening/weekends. Not looking forward to summer shift with the coordinator... 😮‍💨 Not that she gives me a hard time.
