Doing taxes and sex Ed for sure. Teaching martial arts to everyone would somewhat defeat the purpose, because it would just put everyone on the same playing field and bullies would still bully at school. It would prevent yourself from being an easy target in public though. And bushcraft is a luxury. Not many people deal with that kind of life. I think it's good if you're either going to rough it a little or plan to live off grid. It's not a bad skill to learn, but it's not a priority in the society at the moment.
I stick to what I say. Taxes and sex Ed should be prioritized.
I said taxes.
Sex Ed hasn't helped anyone. In fact, there are more people with STDs/STIs than at any other time in human history, which proves the dummycrat notion of "safe sex' doesn't work. adultery and fornication are sins, and the real God designed nature to punish you for committing those sins.
Sex ed is already all over schools.
First Aid and Daily Budget Management/Savings. ALSO, handwriting and basic etiquette. So many people come to my office and flunk out of an interview bc they're book smart but have NO manners and write like psychopaths.
True about the sex Ed but 20+ states it's abstinence only education which will always make me laugh at their utter myopia when it comes to teens
@DrPepper12 Ok, but when one person comes to the marital bed a virgin and gets HPV... or herpes... or something equally as awful... then wtf are these bible beaters gonna do about it?
Taxes and sex ed are two very necessary educations for an adult life. Especially if you include sexualities that arenât limited to just cis and straight

Sexual Education and Sexual health
the other big one is First Aid, it should be a mandatory subject to a decent level. Martial arts, taxes, bushcraft is just bollox really.
Sex ed and taxes or âbusinessâ were both requirements to graduate in my school.
Taxes should be included as part of a broader finance class that includes other subjects, such as loans and investments. I took something like that as an elective in my senior year of high school. This is the only one you listed they could actually justify a full course.
Many schools have instituted a financial literacy class for seniors that covers leasing buying student loans household budgeting balancing a checkbook comparing credit card rates CDs stocks and a whole lot more
well doing your taxes, sex ed are good, learning basic life skills would also be a good thing.
How to budget, balance a chequebook, apply for a job, write a decent resume, living withing a budget, why it is so stupid to run up your credit cards and only pay a little bit.
How to treat others nicely.
There are all sorts of life skills that people should know.
Sex ed. Relatively few people need bush craft. If everyone knows the same martial arts moves then it's pointless. Most people's taxes aren't complex. But sex ed is something you need on a daily basis.
Sex ed mixed with biology.
Serious tax structure reform needs to happen before taxes can be effectively made into a class.
Wildlife numbers are too low to teach everyone bushcraft, you would just cause a mass extinction.
No physical combat should ever be mandatory. Though as an elective its good.
Sex Ed was quite mandatory, nowadays. Would be nice to see a Self Defense subjectâthat could help counter bullying and kidnapping rates. They should also bring back the Character Education.
I'd expand "Doing Taxers" to "Money Management", which would include understanding the various types of taxes, as well as income tax.
would you volunteer to go up and get a blowjob from a pretty cheerleader or learn about taxes
@chrissykerdock why can't a high schooler do both?
Taxes and sex Ed. U have to pay taxes anyway, and teaching sex Ed decreases accidental pregnancy and stds for kids, which is good obviously.
It's only good if you live in a blue state. Many red states teach abstinence only sex education which may as well be no education at all!
@DrPepper12 well yeah when I said sex Ed I meant actually teaching about it, not just saying don't fuck. That's 1 reason national education standards are helpful lol
Agreed. As a teacher I'm a huge supporter. "The war of northern aggression" IS NOT HISTORY
teaching girls how to give blowjobs should be mandatory forget math
This is why I love progressives! Always future orientated and willing to question the "we've always done it this way" attitude! Kudos!
Finance and sex Ed. And not this abstinence only bullshit. The fact that some adult actually think they can tell teens don't have sex betrays the depths of their stupidity and willful blindness
Financial Literacy , so many just have ZERO understanding.
taxes! credit cards! loans! interest rates! money management! things that matter!
They should really teach people how to do taxes in civics
They should have a class on learning how to hate the government then maybe they wouldnât need to learn to do taxes someday.
I'd say basic budgeting/finances, cooking, sex ed, self defence (the flavour of your choice),
Reading writing and math. The rest is secondary because you have to read write and do math to do the other mentioned
You would like to think that parents would fill in the blanks be on that but that is simply not the case. After 20 plus years in the classroom I've seen the effects firsthand. Parents want to be friends with their kids not their parents
@DrPepper12 Yes but they are doing more harm than good to their children. I was a parent to my children a mentor and yes someone to cry on when things went south. They were also taught to stand and think on their own. There are still many dedicated teachers in schools but the president of the teachers union has them teaching " woke" which is a disservice. A woke education teaches nothing usable in life. Big businesses in New York no longer accept the sheep skin from many I've League collages so tens of thousands of dollars were spent on education that was a waste of time.
S*x ed because of the high STDs and unwanted pregnancies which affect America.
Sex ed, finance, and nutrition should be required in highschool and college.
This former teacher totally supports that!!
At least taxes and sex Ed. The others seem like electives.
All of the above plus finance, the value of money and respect for others
Sex Ed and it should include child raising.
Can I add my own category?
My favorite class in college was philosophy. It was a prerequisite to logic 102.
I don't know if logic can be taught, but it's an interesting experiment.
So in my philosophy class, the teacher was quoting a famous philosopher, and he said: "All barking dogs can bark."
One idiot in class said that not all barking dogs can bark. lol
This is the level of stupid we're dealing with.
Sex Ed. and Tax Ed.
Sex education should be mandatory
@elizamichale1 it is prohibited in Muslim countries
@Cheerfull009 well each to their own but thats my opinion
@elizamichale1, yes , your opinion is yours, mine is mine , I know about you through your profile details
@Cheerfull009 well those details r there in my profile so people who want to talk to me, can know about me
It's abstinence only education in 20+ states. May as well be no education at all!
@elizamichale1, thanks
@DrPepper12 yea i agree...
