Workplace says I’m not required anymore?

I attempted to reach you a few times by phone and SMS to inform you that, unfortunately, due to changes in the shift structure and staffing needs, the client has decided that your services are no longer required on site. We will do our best to find you alternative employment as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. What does this even mean lol thank you for understanding, understanding what exactly? Please no judgement. Just wondering what they’re tryna say here cause they had new employees just start. I started before them. How is this fair? I do everything correctly and know how to do my job?

Can you describe your employment structure? This can be anything from full termination, to paid leave while they find another assignment for you. If I had to guess, it's contract work and you're out of a contract until your employer can find another client to pick you up.

This happens with my job that uses BPOs. When one of them doesn't meet our standards, we let the BPO go, but still engage with the company that provides the BPOs. Then, that company tries to find other gigs for the BPOs that don't work out. Sound familiar?

You got fired pretty much, althought technically they don't call it that, they call it being laid off, which basically means you are on queue until further notice but as of right now they won't be giving you any hours, which basically means don't hold your breath.
