If you were born in the medieval times, what job would you have?

Many jobs are gone because of new inventions but there are many jobs today that didn't exist back then because of new inventions. There are many like

I'd probably be a black smith, potter, fan bearer or just a merchant since I already am. But fan bearers would probably be my top pick because it seem like a really no skill job and I'd love to try that. Of course they don't exist anymore but I just wonder what having the job is like. I'll just be there standing all day fanning the royal family. Potters would be my second pick. It just seems fun.

I'm predominantly Scott/Pictish (~70%). That family side was likely involved in some sort of trade like metalwork based on the name. The other side is English (~20%). They were apparently lords of a fief for quite a few centuries. Allegedly since the first full census Domesday Book in 1086.
