What did you want your job to be when you were a kid?

In 8th grade, a mathematician. Never quite made that, though. Career 1, graphics- after my Bachelor degree in Communications and Graphic Design. Worked in package design and maxed out that as I studied computers. Moved into that after getting a Cert. in Telecom/computers. Maxed out of that, earned an MBA and moved into telecom tech mgmt. As that was fading in our BIG telecom company, started learning Massage, and have been doing that nearly 30 years with a Diploma in MT. Now, they all use math in some degree, but I am not like my cousin, a Quantum Physicist (yes, really).

The job I have now was one I wanted as a kid. I'm a cake decorator and pastry chef. I'll never be able to do hyper realistic cakes like Natalie Sidesurf, but that's okay. I like doing it.

When i was just a kid, I had no idea. Then while playing games, the game was such trash, I said "I could make a better game than this!" aaaand that was it. Be a game designer.

Then I realized the truth of how a company spent 6 years on a game just to be absolutely dog shi. You'd think this inspire me to push on but au contraire. 6 years of their lives was spent on a project and it was the best they could do. I dropped the idea.

I always wanted to be a policewoman but due to a medical condition I was unable to follow my dream.

However, it was suggested to me that there were other branches within the police authority that might be more suitable for me.

Long story short, I am now a forensic scientist for the police authority.

I went through a lot of ''phases'' 😂 While I was in kindergarten I wanted to be a clown and preschool teacher, and then a bit later I wanted to be a lawyer or a judge.

I always wanted to be a chemist, and quickly found out during 7th grade that I wanted to be an organic chemist. I still like organic chemistry to this day, but I’m too stupid for college. Lol

But I realized I didn't want to go through all of that extensive training just to stand in the same 4 walls everyday with patients having an emotional breakdown. Kudos to vets, but that seems draining.
