When you were a child, what was your dream job and why? What is your occupation now?
When I was really young, maybe 4 years old, I became fascinated with dinosaurs. I had toy dinosaurs and illustrated books of dinosaurs. I loved the dinosaur skeletons in the natural history museum. I later read children's books about people called paleontologists who found dinosaur bones. I decided that wanted to be a paleontologist so that I could find dinosaur bones. LOL
I fell away from that idea by jr. high. I had no career thoughts.
I had become a good guitarist by high school, grew my hair long, played rock music in garage bands, and we were popular around town. I considered being a rock star.
When I was 26, I was offered a job as a motor vehicle damage field adjuster/appraiser trainee. At that point, I hadn't even completed my AA degree.
The job had great salary and fantastic benefits. That became my career for 30 years until I retired with a pension and a lot of money in a 501(k).
