What was your dream job as a child?

I was back and forth. I wanted to be a vet but then I wanted to be on TV. Realizing I couldn't be on TV because of my social anxiety I went to college for Vet Assistant. It was fun but then my aunt lined up a volunteer job for me at a local vet clinic and thats when I decided to not continue in that career. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I did. I went to looking into either games or post production in TV or movies that don't involve any social presence. Took game design in college. Struggled with finding a job in that for a few years and now I'm working at a VFX studio and loving it. I am doing my childhood dream that I thought I could never do!
That is strange to me, as a Child I never could say what I wanted to be when I grew up so I find that unusual with a Child, I grew up working for Job Training programs and making $3.35 an hour cause that was the minimum wage back then and I believe all people were being paid that amount not too sure also has a Child I always grew up with sexual thoughts and I know this seems weird/ strange but it happened to me so therapist have told me I could have been sexually abused cause to this day I have issues with engaging with sexual intercourse with a girl in a relationship and I think what happened to me mentally I do know I have a Bipolar disorder and some other mental illnesses but I always pray things can change for me
Thanks For MHO :)
As a child I always wanted to be a journalist or diplomat. I really don't know why these professions appealed to me. Maybe it's because I grew up in a home where my father groomed me to read the newspaper and listen to broadcast news daily from morning to evening.
I wanted to be a pop star. I loved singing and dancing when I was little. But britney spears took that away from me. I also wanted to be a contortionist. I would stretch all the time when I was younger to become flexible and do the crazy positions with my body.

I wanted to be a horse trainer. I was obsessed with horses and have been around them since I was 8. I sort of got my wish, I got to personally train one horse right from "he won't let you catch him" to "my neice can ride him unsupervised". And I've helped out with a few other horses, putting miles on a few greenbroke colts, and exercising a few performance horses
Same as today! Working in either a record store, pressing plant, radio station or at least a print shop and playing drums in a band. I can't get a job in a record store or as a DJ because I know too much about records and music. I WAS in a band for 25 years and I DID get to work at two print shops for a total of 13 years. The nearest record pressing plant that I know of is at least 500 miles away!! That's just a bit farther than I'd like to walk!!
If you can't walk then fly.
@Daniela1982 My wings are broken and so is my hair, I'm not in the mood for words, said the chair.
Damn, and here I thought you were one of the flying monkeys from Wizard of Oz.
@Daniela1982 More like the drummer monkey from Lancelot Link.
Astronaut. But it involves math and involves being tall and skinny, so forget that noise. I didn't want to have to work out everyday or worse, do math all the time, just to circle around the planet doing nothing up there.
That's a very cute baby Sun conure. I have a 20 year old one with a bad attitude at home hahaha
What I wanted to be changed a million times, but I eventually settled on K-9 officer
When I was a child in elementary school I wanted to be a ballerina or gymnast.
by the way is that a real parrot? Does it speak? Details please 😍
Awesome! Does he speak any words?
Pornstar lol well for a bit anyways and I did kind of get there, basically I wanted a job where I could be in the mountains or in the forest either prospecting or surveying or logging fire fighting which all of them I have done
I don't know why or how I thought the things I did as a kid but I wanted to be a helicopter.
I was told no so I said I instead wanted to be a dog.
I was fascinated by dinosaurs when I was little, so I wanted to be a paleontologist and find dinosaur skeletons.
When my niece was little, she wanted to be a strawberry picker. LOL Guess why.
I wanted to be a Navy flight officer. "Come on Mav, do some of that pilot shit".
I had hoped to receive an appointment to the US Naval Academy. It didn't happen.
Something that’s pretty much unattainable now because I didn’t know that reality was a thing and that dreams don’t come true😂😂😂
Yeah stupid reality smh lol
I wanted to work with animals.. Like a game ranger and veterinarian combo..
Then I wanted to work in pathology.
Bus driver at the local bus company. I thought all the money they received for selling tickets was for them.
When I was younger, I wanted to be a nurse. Realized I hated blood so I become a teacher instead.
To become a doctor but after seeing what do sick doctors do these days I might want to rethink that a lot before deciding my future

Definitely can remember wanting to be a dustman, if it wasn't for my back I might have actually done it
I wanted to be an astronaut. I went so far as t join Airforce ROTC to be a pilot.
Something in the aviation industry and I became an aircraft mechanic
nice, did you consider being a pilot? or do you just like working on planes more?
@GermanGuy87 yes I considered being a pilot but I was a piss poor student but was very mechanically gifted so that’s how it played out. I did my dream job for my dream company without having a GED
cool. I'm trying to become a pilot and I am finding it difficult. I have over 400 hours of flight time and unfortunately failed my Instrument check-ride last week. I have to go back and finish it up on Monday. I hope I get it done and am able to eventually become a commercial pilot.
@GermanGuy87 everyone dreams of being a pilot but all pieces must fit to become one just like anything else. My pieces didn’t fit for a pilot but they did for an aircraft mechanic. I wouldn’t trade my career to be a pilot ever
yeah I agree. I think its definitely harder for some people like me. I have heard of people getting all their ratings in like 12 months, for me its like I get a new rating once every year. Its a slower process but I think I will get there. I never was mechanically gifted but I have seen planes in the hanger being worked on and it seems interesting.
@GermanGuy87 don’t limit yourself. There’s all kinds of careers in aviation. There’s marketing, buying/selling, parts and parts procurement you name it. You’re obviously an aviation industry natural. Let your natural skills direct you to it. What comes natural and what your heart or brain wants can be different things
@GermanGuy87 something else is look at smaller but essential flying jobs. For example a bush plane is down in Alaska and you had to fly me in with my tools and part in your Super Cub with tundra tires. I’d fly with you. That’s flying to me not scheduled airline stuff
yeah, that sounds fun. I'm not sure if I'll ever make the airlines but just flying in general is fun and I'd be happy with flying private or off the grid somewhere remote.
@GermanGuy87 good luck
Honestly I didn't even think I would live for so long.. I thought I would die!..
Before I reached high school..
I wanted to be a famous actor like most kids but that was completely unrealistic and I actually don't think I would enjoy acting

Did you succeed? Hey, didn't I see you in that Capitol riot video?
Well that's gratitude for you after we saved the UK's ass in WWII by the lend/lease, sending war materials, planes, tanks, and going in dutch for the D Day invasion. Had the US not joined the war you would be speaking German as you almost lost the Battle of Britain.
Not the way you put it. It's more like fuck the US. But I have to admit a lot of people in the US feel that way the last year.
Well we kicked the British ass in 1776 and they lost a lot of other colonies too. So don't throw stones as it might break something. The British seem to think that they could have won the war by themselves, I remember there being lots of convoys of war supplies from the US to Britain. How soon they forget.

I didn't pursue sex as a career. I kept it recreational.
If she had a hole that needed stuffing i performed admirably. Nutted 3 out 4 dates Friday to Sunday. Having sex and both cumming 6 times in a 24 hour sex marathon. Banging her and cousin within 24hrs, nailing 99% dates within an hr of meeting, having multiple fuck friends simultaneously for years even when dating someone. Yes, i was the man whore your momma warned you about.
Well all I can say is you reap what you sow. If that is your mission in life good luck with that.
Life has turn out good. Business owner, prepping for joint venture, should increase my earnings by 60% and property holdings by another $6M by next year. Hope all goes well for you too.
Don't worry, it won't be me paying child support when I get someone pregnant. :)
Oh I have been fixed for years. One was enough... well let me rephase that... because of my daughters mother... one was enough. The hell she put the kid through and me too... wasn't gonna deal w that shit again. Now if i was w a girl and she had kids... spoiled them rotten... cause i could
