My mother been letting her husband abuse me since I was a child. My father passed away when I was 5 and all his family in Africa. I had traumatic painful surgeries on both of my legs when I was 18 due to a car accident. I have a brain injury. I have a heart condition called wolf parkinson white syndrome. Due to my brain injury money was deposited to my mother for my wellbeing. My mom stole over 10k of the insurance money for my injuries and bought her husband a car. My mother let her husband hit me with his truck at 40mph but I didn’t have license or insurance so I couldn’t go to police I was scared.
Few months after she stole the money and 1 year following my injuries I was homeless because my stepdad said if my mother didn’t kick me out he would get a divorce. I was in college and almost done with my prerequisite for nursing but I dropped out of school because I was homeless with no job. I’m still homeless. I get help from case manager since I have bipolar depression etc. my mother told me she picks her husband over me. She convince people that I am the bad person and made her family turned their back on me. My grandma and aunts blocked me. I made straight As and received academic awards growing up. I was on the dean list in college and tested into calculus. I taught myself everything like driving and I learned how to do my own hair because she wouldn’t do it growing up. I would go home with these awards and she never cared. I graduated high school but I was in the hospital from a car accident and she never celebrated my graduation. She told me she would not throw a party for me. I dreamed of being a doctor or nurse but now I’m homeless with health problems and regularly smoke weed to cope with my emotions. My mother lets her husband cheats on her regularly and is abusive to her. She was raised in the village and values marriage. She lets this man do anything just so she can say she’s married. She spoils his children while i struggle.
