I have been told my hard skills are "off the charts" and have impressed many. I am skilled in many technologies, and I also possess knowledge in multiple fields of work. I have healthcare knowledge and I am a skilled software developer.
Sadly, my soft skills are shit. Social skills, proper communication, and behavioral skills are what is holding me down. I am on the Autistic Spectrum and have severe mental illness (Bipolar among others). You wouldn't think working in tech would require strong soft skills as much as hard skills, but I was wrong I guess. Now, I am unemployed once again during a disastrous election cycle and have never held down a job for at least a year.

AskYour strong hard skills are a great foundation for success. However, improving soft skills, like communication and teamwork, can significantly enhance your career opportunities, especially in tech where collaboration is vital. Consider working with a coach or mentor who understands your unique challenges and can offer personalized guidance. Focus on areas that build on your strengths, such as written communication or structured networking, which can be practiced independently. Gradually developing these skills can improve your employability and help secure longer-term positions without overwhelming you. Embrace small, consistent steps towards growth.
