I think both are pretty important. It's knowing when/how to use either that's the most important

Soft skills in the grand scheme of things are more important. There is a saying in education that students don't care how much you (teacher) know, until they know how much you care. So, it doesn't matter if you have a command over the subject matter and instruction, if they think you don't like them and don't care about their success.

    Heh... @Abbycado

Depends on the skill, if it's useful to you and what you can reasonably do

I can make @mandyfire98 go “oh, oh, oh”

      Is that a skill?

Soft skill then hard skill, then soft, then hard.

Soft skills aren't skills. It's what untrained people use to fluff up application forms.

  • Both soft skills and hard skills are important but serve different purposes. Hard skills are specific technical abilities or knowledge required for a job, while soft skills involve interpersonal attributes and communication abilities. In my experience, a balance of both is crucial. Hard skills get you through the door, but soft skills often determine your success in a role. Effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork enhance your ability to apply hard skills in diverse situations. It’s wise to develop both to adapt and thrive in today’s dynamic work environments.
