Comparing something hard to something easy. Please help!

I am doing a research and I'm having some difficult time coming up with comparison. The thing is you have yo compare something complex to something simple > love (complex) is like porta potty (simple). My complex idea what reading body language and my simple idea was perfume, but I'm having hard time coming up with comparison. Does anyone have any other simple ideas I could compare body language to? Unless you have a different structure, then feel free to share. Thanks all for your time and thoughts

Well it helps if you compare things that are actually comparable. You can't compare love to porter potties because they're nothing a like. You can't compare body language to perfume because they have nothing in common.

You could do something like analyzing a poem vs just reading the poem. Reading body language vs reading meanings in what people are saying (it's easier to infer meanings in words than body language because there are so many possibilities when it comes to body language and things like tone of voice is a pretty big give away).

As it stands you've really got to think about that you're doing. You can't compare two completely unrelated things- it doesn't work that way. Find two things you can write about that are related and do those. The reason you can't compare things is because you can't relate them at all. "Well people cross their arms for this reason, this reason this reason or this reason. People wear perfume because they want to smell nice. People do this action because of this, or this people choose their perfume because it smells nice."

This is going to sound mean but- common sense. You can't compare everything use common sense when choosing your subjects. You can not comparing any of the things you've listed because they don't relate.

I get your idea but that's the whole point is to compare two unalike things. Love and porta potty was an example given by my professor, I didn't make it up
