I have this gym next to me that I used to have a membership to. I went to college and canceled it; the gym went under new ownership, and now I emailed them to ask what their current pricing was. They insisted that I come in for a tour despite the gym being exactly the same as it was years ago. When I politely reiterated that I just wanted the price for the basic membership, the guy at the front desk called me and aggressively told me to take my business elsewhere if I was going to "disregard business practices." Sorry if I didn't want to waste an hour of my time listening to you yap about how you're not trying to scam me with cancelation fees? We've already been through this, and I know what I'm getting myself into lol. I'm just surprised they're openly this hostile when they don't get to scam you.
