What are your thoughts on bikini baristas?

There’s quite a few of these businesses where I live. The coffee is decent, but it’s nothing that special. What I don’t really like about them is I feel like they’re using the girl’s sex appeal to bring in business. Almost every customer at these businesses is a male person. Don’t give me wrong, I love seeing girls in bikinis, at the end of the day I am a man. However, something about these businesses just rubs me the wrong way. I think it’s bad business practices.

It’s nothing new. Before bikini baristas there was bikini car washes, bikini waitresses, hell even bikini lifeguards. It’s not necessarily exploitation if they choose to have the job, and honestly? Sex work is the oldest job in the world if we’re talking about jobs being an exchange of goods and services. This is nothing near that, but people will always hypersexualize women at any given opportunity as long as women continue to hold the deciding power of sex (meaning it’s up to the woman, not the man, to decide if they fuck or not). Might as well make some money off of it, especially if you’re in a building that’s drive-thru only and closed off from the general public having easy access to your body.

I don't get the hype about these places anymore like maybe back in a day where porn wasn't so available then maybe but we can all access titties anytime online so I'll pass on seeing them while drinking coffee

Lots of places use sex appeal to bring in business. Not really that different from other places. I see a lot of these places around but have never had the desire to get coffee from one. Don't really care.

It’s just another special kind of restaurant called “breastraunt”. Like hooters, tired kilts, twin peaks, bikini top bar and grill. It’s all about the sex appeal to get the guy to come in and admire the scenery.
