Am I out of line for choosing comfort over extreme greatness?

I am self employed with a safety net so I can choose either to work 18 hours and make crazy money, or to work 1 hour and make survival money. I don’t feel like chasing the big ticket life now. I want limited hours so I can cook and clean and do my social activities. My boyfriend has money but I like spending my own money, not someone else’s.
