Science is analytic, not creative.

I think that creativity and imaginative energy are not the same.

Rather: creativity uses and carries forward the findings of science.

This can be done by one and the same person - but not necessarily so.

Example: two of my customers (a married couple) both are super intelligent physics professors with a good international reputation. But they use the results of their observations to develop repetitive solutions. Along came me, the kind of Frankenstein engineer, and whoops - now only we are getting somewhere.

Very creative! Instead of observation! Lots of "science " is not real science.

They have to be, to formulate hypotheses.
