I am just looking for some advice on what to do... I've been through a lot when it comes to teaching... I am fairly new to teaching (5 years. I started in 2020 during covid). After my first year of teaching, I was fired from my job because 2 schools were combining, therefore they had to combine teachers too and I was the new teacher. I got a job the following year and was there for 4 years. During those 4 years, I had a lot of misbehaving students and parents who were unsupportive and believed their kids so much that they called dyfs on me and wrote letters to the board. The case was fortunately dismissed and everything washed over. I did not have a teaching degree for 4 out of the 5 years (was not required because I taught in a catholic school). My final year at this school, I had a lot of issues with them and trying to get my teaching certification. I finally got it at the end of the school year and then they fired me because they said I was a bad fit for the demographics of the school. This year, I took a long term sub job and they fired me too due to safety concerns with the students in my classroom. Now I know that there are things that I am not the best at (classroom management) but I am a good teacher. I am just so defeated and discouraged because I keep getting fired. I don't know if teaching is something I should keep pursuing or if I am just bad at it and should find a new job.

Teaching can be challenging, and it sounds like you've faced several hurdles. Consider reflecting on the following: identify areas for growth, such as classroom management, and seek professional development opportunities. Remember that many teachers face challenges early in their careers, and growth often comes from learning through these experiences. If you still have a passion for teaching, you might explore different school environments that align better with your style. However, if teaching no longer fulfills you, consider leveraging your skills in related fields. It's important to find a path where you feel both competent and fulfilled.
