Why don’t people want to be judged for not having a job?

Literally right now many places are hiring anybody. If you’re in between jobs or have sone medical conditions I understand.

But. It’s literally more times then not a choice not to have a job. Too lazy to even apply somewhere and get through the process. I’m not as judgmental of what someone does if you’re a clerk at a grocery store it’s better then nothing.

But just refusing to work. That’s your business but don’t demand I help you out.

What has happened to a lot of people is that they went to school to study a field that was suppose to be in demand. Right out of college they got a good paying careers, and then the economy collapsed during Biden and tons of high skilled people with advanced degrees got shit canned. All the while Joe Biden was going on national TV calling them bums and garbage telling them they just need to learn to code. These are people that graduated from some of the top universities for compute science and what not... Dude is seriously out of touch with reality. Many of those people have applied for thousands of jobs and have had numerous interviews, but can not get a new job unless they know someone personally inside a company that will get them in the door. If you're out of work for a short period of time, all the sudden companies don't want to hire you anymore. They would rather higher someone right out of college with fresh skills or some foreigner on an H1-B for pennies. Then that employment gap starts to get longer and longer and you become unhirable at large companies even when you have the right degrees, from the right universities, with the right skill set and an impressive work history with fortune 500 companies. Then you have to start looking at smaller companies and considering minimum wage jobs were your talent and skills will be wasted. I know a number of people with masters degrees in various fields of engineering that are in that position right now. Before Biden they were making roughly $150-170K a year. Now a number of them have been unemployed living off savings for 2-4 years and pretty much all they are doing every day is applying for jobs nationwide, fielding calls, networking, and attending an occasional interview. I know a number more that still have their job, but there is no work for them to do at the moment and they are very afraid that they will lose their job soon. Their companies are trying to find new positions for them, but it's not looking great. That's the reality of Biden's economy. The brightest people in the nation have been thrown in the gutter while being openly mocked by Biden on TV.

Having a job is not something you can control unless you yourself are responsible for hiring people on. That’s why judging them for something that isn’t their choice is not welcomed.

It really is someone’s choice. There is tons of places hiring if you don’t get hired anyone apply for another.

Many people just feel too good and above. Working…. Entry level jobs. They waited until they were in their 20s to get a job. So they’re mad they’re starting out where someone say a teenager would be

Choosing to apply doesn’t mean they’ll take you. I work at a place that has entry level, and over 200+ applications that are no good because they’re all for positions that we have filled in abundance. We don’t need more people, so any new applications that come in for this entry-level position are denied. It’s not their choice on whether or not they get a job with us, it’s our choice as the one providing the job.

Again….. many people need to start somewhere. It may take time to get a job at a company. You may need to start at low level retail. School bus driving. Law enforcement. And other jobs that have shortages.

@MikeRJ that’s true. I would say that’s what causes sone mental illness. If I was away from people mever seeing the outside world I would go NUTS

I have a friend who has OCD. He doesn't work and when I ask him what he did that day, he will say he went to a support group, or read an OCD workbook, or went on a trip with other mentally ill people from the mental health center. All of his time revolves around his illness. Wouldn't it be better to have some time where he was at work not thinking about OCD?

I have medical shit but
Before i got approved for this medical shit I applied to hundreds of basic retail jobs. And heard nothing back or had the "you're not hired sorry" email.
it really isn't as simple as you think it is.

But see…. After COVID everywhere was BRGGING angone to apply. I seen people get jobs they aren’t even qualified for
